I've been studying for more than 10 years, and most children learn English in my country because our country relies mostly on tourism. What I can remember about my early lessons is that they were really intense, and it was hard for me to learn a new language. I have studied Mandarin too, and I also love Mandarin. I would advise someone who wants to learn English to start watching movies in English with English subtitles as well.
