We went to a Korean restaurant to chase dishes for our cultural event and we couldn’t even agree what to order and that at that moment made me realize how challenging teamwork can be because everyone had strong opinions and I had to act as a mediator. Until then I had always been a lone wolf. So, a cardinating team was no better than roses. At the same time it was also an opportunity to try new food. For the first time I tasted kimchi and bibimbap. The honesty, the pungent flavor of kimchi almost blew my mind at first, but then I began to appreciate its tangy crunch. This was the first time to try new meat and new different countries meal. Well, looking back, the whole experience was a real challenge for me, leading a group, handling disagreements and stepping out of my comfort zone. But in hindsight, it was a blessing in disguise because it taught me teamwork, compromise and leadership. The event was well attended. Our advertising work, and for me personally, it was a wake-up call. Disagreements and challenges are not obstacles, but opportunities to grow.
