I’m going to talk about a dear friend of mine that I feel extremely lucky to know. Her name is Ling and she is my best friend from high school. We’ve been friends for almost 10 years now and our connections and bond continues to grow every day. She is an extremely confident and well-spoken person who always stands up for what she believes in. She firmly believes in gender equality and actively advocates for woman empowerment in her workplace. I remember this one time in high school she openly defended me in front of the mean girls that were making fun of my recent weight gain and that experience left me truly grateful and one of the reasons why we became best friends. She’s also an adventurous person who encourages me to step out of my comfort zone and try new things. I think she makes a positive impact on me and encouraged me to step out of my shelves and become a better version of myself. Additionally, she is extremely kind and generous who often gives money to charity and raises funds for animal shelters. I truly am truly grateful to have known her and cherish and I really cherish our friendship. I hope that I could be her best friends forever and continue to grow and learn together.
