Well, it depends on the reason why people are using their cell phones and it depends on who is using the cell phone, teachers or students. It has its own positive and negative aspects. Talking about the positive aspects, they can be useful for learning in the classroom. For example, we have a lot of applications that can be used online and offline. Using these applications can be done with the help of laptops or mobile phones, but a lot of youngsters prefer to take mobile phones with them. They can also be used to promote collaboration in the classroom. For example, by using mobile phones, children can work in groups, utilizing some kind of artificial intelligence. They can also promote student engagement in the classroom because it can be very helpful to do activities together. However, it has its own disadvantages. One of them is the major distraction during class, leading to decreased learning outcomes because by using mobile phones, students can get distracted by games on their devices. They may spend much more time on games. Additionally, they can cause disruption in the classroom environment and have negative effects on mental health and psychological factors because some students may have expensive mobile phones while others have much cheaper ones. It depends on the financial situation of the family. That's why it depends on the reasons for using the mobile phone. But if it's about the teachers, it is only useful for lessons where they can find information in a timely manner.
