But if the government focuses on only one thing, it may become very harmful to mankind and could eventually lead to the extinction of the human species. By protecting both factors, the government can sustain mankind in a more proficient way. However, if the government just focuses on economic growth, environmental protection can be ignored, leading to irreversible damage to the planet Earth. It may become uninhabitable for us human beings. So I would say that the government should prioritize both factors.
