Today my presentation is about whether students should be given the liberty to wear whatever they want at school or not. A very fundamental point to start with is why schools might prefer students to wear uniforms. Usually, schools require students to come in uniforms as they find them more sustainable and want to ensure that parents can afford clothes. On top of that, they want to prevent the edge; they want to prevent highlighting the social differences between some students to avoid bullying. Another point worth mentioning is why students like to choose what they wear. Students often prefer to choose their clothing as different students have diverse styles, and they should have the liberty to choose whatever they feel comfortable in or what makes them feel most confident. It shouldn't be controlled by an external factor. Furthermore, another very important point is whether parents should decide what their children wear at school. I think parents play a very important role in what students wear at school, as they are better equipped to know whether an outfit is appropriate for the school environment or not. Children are often blind to that standard or perspective. To sum up, at the end of my presentation, I conclude that there are various points to consider when evaluating whether students should be allowed to wear whatever they want at school.
