Today my presentation is about whether students should be given the liberty to wear whatever they want at school or not. A very fundamental point to start with is why schools might prefer students to wear uniforms. Usually schools obligate students to come with uniforms as they find them more sustainable and they want to make sure that the parents can afford clothes. On top of that they want to prevent the edge, they want to prevent highlighting the social difference between some students to avoid bullying. Another point worth mentioning is why my students like to choose what they wear. Students often prefer to choose what they wear as different students have diverse styles and various styles and they should have the liberty to choose whatever they feel comfortable in or what they feel most confident in. It shouldn’t be controlled by an external factor. What is more, another very prerequisite point is whether parents should decide what their children wear at school. I think parents play a very important tool in what students wear at school as there was enough to know whether an outfit is appropriate for the school campus or not. Children are often blind to that standard or to that perspective. To sum up, at the end of my presentation I may conclude that there are various points to consider when evaluating whether students should be allowed to wear whatever they want at school.
