Um, before now, my state used to be one of the dirtiest places in my country because people were very nonchalenged about how they disposed of their waste. Most times, people would just litter the whole environment with household refuse, and even, um, commercial traders would always dispose their waste into the gutters, clogging them and making everywhere very untidy. So the governor passed a rule that anyone who is found littering the environment would def fined the sum of 50,000 naira. In addition to that, he also, um, made provisions for different refusede beingans are strategic locations so that people would not have any excuse as to why they want to disclose their waste properly. Um, alongside, he also informed the whole state that refuse disposal begins by 06:00 p.m. just to control the indiscriminate waste. People have been adhering to these rules because they do not want to face the music and pay the penalty that is attached to breaking the law. Um, for those who have broken it, many of them were forced to pay the fine. I believe that this is a very welcome development because it’s like killing so de with 1 st.
