Bangladesh has a tropical monsoon climate, usually hot and humid for most of the year, with heavy rainfall during the monsoon. The weather plays a vital role in our daily lives, from agriculture to transportation. We experience three main seasons: extremely hot, up to 40 degrees Celsius, with high humidity, making it quite uncomfortable in monsoons from June to October. Heavy rains, frequent floods, and slight plows occur in the coastal areas. From November to February, we enjoy winter with mild and pleasant temperatures around 10 to 20 degrees Celsius and dry weather, the most comfortable period of the year. As a developing agricultural country, farmers depend on monsoon rains for crops like rice and potatoes, but excessive rain can also destroy harvests. Cities like Dhaka suffer from waterlogging and traffic jams during the monsoons. Heat waves in summer cause dehydration, leading to heat stroke, while winter brings respiratory illness. Winter brings me happiness with a cool breeze and clear skies, perfect for outdoor activities. However, extreme humidity in summer and disruptions caused by the monsoon worsen my mood. Last year, due to flooding, millions of people lost their homes, and if I could change one thing, I would reduce the flooding problem in my city.
