Well, obviously there are some pros and cons of learning in a group. One advantage is that people can have someone to bounce ideas off of and they can even motivate themselves and all the other members to improve. However, one of the biggest disadvantages, in my opinion, is becoming over-dependent on other people. People might lose the ability to think critically, and they always need someone else to check their work and show them how it's done.
