For next summer, I have quite a specific and exciting plan in mind. My university finishes in early June, and if everything goes as hoped, I would love to spend about a month traveling in Japan. It's a country that has fascinated me for years because of its unique blend of deep tradition and modernity, a contrast I find incredibly compelling. My plan is to start in the bustling capital, Tokyo, for about a week to immerse myself in the city's incredible energy, visit various districts, and try authentic sushi. Then I plan to take the famous train to Kyoto, the historical heart of Japan. There, I want to spend another week exploring temples, gardens, and maybe even seeing a geisha performance. I'm dreaming of spending time in a more rural area, perhaps hiking in the Japanese Alps. I want this to be more than just a sightseeing trip. I am especially interested in picking up a souvenir from there or making it myself.
