I believe there are many things that make a friend good for an entire family. First of all, they need to be helpful if the family has some problems. Second, if the parents need to go somewhere and cannot bring their child or children, that is, I believe, the most important thing that makes a person a good friend for an entire family. Secondly, they need to be good at spending time with children in the family. Very often, there are also some children. In order to be a good friend for everyone, you need to connect with the most complex part of the family, which is generally the children.
