I think the biggest difference is the development of society. In the past, people didn't have electricity, the internet, or advanced technology. Life was simpler, and happiness often revolved around basic needs like having enough food, a safe home, and a strong family. People were also more connected to their communities and had a strong sense of belonging. Of course, there were also challenges like wars and poverty, but the focus was on survival and community rather than the constant pursuit of material possessions and instant gratification that we see today.
