The kind of puzzle that improves people's intelligence is probably math-related puzzles like Sudoku or maybe jigsaw puzzles because Sudoku can further help people with their math problems. You need to calculate the rows and the columns in order for them to align with the perfect number, and you have to use multiples of values or lists or additions to complete this puzzle in the correct way. One famous example is Mr. Alan Turing, who decided to go on a mission in the UK by doing puzzles in magazines.
