Libraries definitely play a significant role in our society due to rapidly rising technological progress and increasing reliance on digital information, because people can use libraries for digital detox. For example, when you use some sort of technology too much, and you are fed up with using mobile phones or computers or just the internet in general, you can go to the library and read something, just pay your attention to another thing. I used to read a lot in libraries, however now I prefer reading and searching information on the internet more. If I had more free time, I'd like to visit libraries more often. However, I'm a little bit tied up right now and I can't afford to go to the libraries every day just to search for information. That's too much time for me.

Task Response

The answer addresses the question about the role of public libraries in a digital society, but it focuses too much on personal experience and a narrow aspect (digital detox) rather than providing a broader, more general discussion. To improve, try to discuss multiple roles of libraries, such as providing free access to digital resources, bridging the digital divide, offering community spaces, and supporting lifelong learning. Avoid shifting to personal anecdotes and maintain a general, analytical perspective throughout.

Fluency & Coherence

The answer is generally coherent and addresses the question about the role of libraries in a digital age, focusing on digital detox. However, there are some issues with fluency, including a false start ('you can just... and you are fed up') and a slight lack of logical progression. The answer shifts from a general role to a personal anecdote, which is acceptable but could be more tightly structured. To improve, avoid hesitations and ensure each point flows smoothly into the next.

Lexical Resource

The vocabulary is adequate and includes some good phrases like 'digital detox' and 'rapidly raised technological progress' (though 'raised' should be 'rising'). However, there is some imprecision, such as 'in-write libraries' (likely a slip for 'in libraries') and 'tied up' (meaning busy, but slightly informal). The range is limited, with some repetition of basic terms. To improve, use more varied and precise vocabulary, such as 'disconnect from technology' or 'unwind without screens'.

Grammatical Range & Accuracy

The grammar is mostly accurate but contains some errors. For example, 'rapidly raised technological progress' should be 'rapidly rising technological progress', and 'increasingly reliance' should be 'increasing reliance'. The conditional 'If I had more free time, I'd like to visit' is correct, but the sentence 'I used to read a lot of in-write libraries' is garbled. The overall range is limited, with simple structures dominating. To improve, practice using a wider variety of sentence structures and ensure subject-verb agreement and correct prepositions.

What role do you believe public libraries will play in future communities as digital resources become more common?

Public libraries are usually used by students and someone who wants to read. So, besides the books, digital resources are so essential for the readers, because there are some books that are not available in some countries and public libraries should have these digital sources for them to read in digital form or online sources. What role do you believe public libraries will play in future communities as digital resources become more common?

As technologies advance, physical books start to lose their relevance. However, in my opinion, public libraries do not. I see public libraries not only as a place where one can rent a book, but also a place of significant community importance. To keep libraries relevant, I think Siri needs to organize different events within the […]

What role do you believe public libraries will play in future communities as digital resources become more common?

In my opinion, public libraries will not place a significant role in future due to rapid technological progress, and people will use more and more online resources than offline. However, I think if public library libraries disappeared just right now or tomorrow, we would have a lot of problems with that. Because, anyway, nowadays people […]

Do you think the concept of 'privacy' is becoming outdated in the digital age, and why?

Well, it’s not becoming outdated because the privacy is still a prerequisite action to take to preserve someone’s dignity. However, in many places people started recording strangers without their consent and without warning them. Therefore, it might become common to face cameras attached to the classes and to the body because if the person were […]

How does the perception of success differ between older and younger generations in your country?

In my country, it’s very different perception of success between elder and younger generations. In my country, people need to achieve success when they were younger. The theory is basic. When they become older, they need to rest, they need to relax, and enjoy what they achieved. Many teenagers or younger people in my country […]
