Nowadays in Azerbaijan, private cars are by far the most popular choice among people. Most people rely on them for their daily use, especially in cities, because they are more convenient and save time. However, this high dependence on cars has led to several issues such as traffic congestion, particularly during peak hours. Although there have been some investments in bicycle infrastructure, such as bike lanes, cycling is still not widespread; only a small portion of the population prefers riding bicycles, mainly for short distances or outdoor activities. Overall, cars remain the dominant choice despite the growing awareness of cycling as a healthier and more environmentally friendly option.
