Well, according to my perspective, it depends on the person whether they want to make a call or just want to chat. Most people are introverted; they do not want to talk too much, so they prefer messages, like I do. However, if we want to have a conversation with our near and dear ones, I prefer to make a phone call. But if it's someone I don't know too much about, I prefer messages in that case.
