Well, in my point of view, both are vital in their own way. We can never feel happy if we fail to achieve either. For example, if a person is highly successful in his professional life but struggling with his personal life, sooner or later it will have a negative impact on his professional life as well. So, for this reason, I think a balance between these two goals is great for a person.
