I think that in our stressful world, people want to distract themselves, stop their thinking, and enjoy their spare time. They do this by watching talent shows or comedy films to enjoy life, spend their spare time, or have a great time with their loved ones. Another reason is inspiration; seeing ordinary people succeed encourages viewers to believe in their own abilities and sometimes motivates them to take part in similar shows in the future.
