I think different cultures have huge different table manners across the globe. For example, in Asian household, people usually would have meals together with their family, such as having lunch and dinner together with all family members. But in western countries, people do not emphasise on having meals together. In fact, they would eat on their own and independently. Other than that, in Asian culture, people usually will wait for the elderly to have their meals first before the younger generation could eat. But in western culture, this is not the thing. And the younger generation would just eat regardless whether the elderly have taken their meals or not.
