I don't have a strong preference. I think paying bills online is probably the most convenient way. It's definitely become the most popular payment system these days.
In the past, I preferred paying my bills with cash because I thought it was very easy. But nowadays, I don't think cash is very convenient. That's why I usually pay with a credit card. It's more convenient and keeps track of my spending.
