I use dictionaries for exploring meanings, such as C1 or C2-level words. I like to read light novels. In light novels, there are a lot of words that I don't know. Due to this problem, I need to use dictionaries like Oxford dictionaries to understand the meanings of the words.
I use a dictionary for my studying, just like translating words in other foreign languages. If I don't know a word's meaning, I can research it in the dictionary.
