They should always be transparent about affordability and the limitations of the family budget so that children become more responsible and do not demand things from their parents solely because of peer pressure or to maintain their status.
Well, I believe that it depends on the situation. Sometimes parents should buy something their children need to establish equality between their children and another person. But on the other hand, it's very important that it doesn't become a habit for their children because it can impact their future.
