I believe cats make the best pets due to their gentle demeanor and striking beauty. Furthermore, their playful nature provides great companionship, especially during moments when you feel low, bored, or want a mental distraction.

I'd say cats first because of their gentle personality and second because they're pretty. Also, their playful nature makes them a good companion whenever you're feeling down, bored, or have extra time and need something or someone to keep you busy.
