Newspapers are more popular in my neighborhood than magazines. This is most likely due to the fact that newspapers are a more hands-on and cost-effective way to remain up-to-date on current events while also providing entertainment and leisure reading.
I can say that older people prefer to read newspapers because this is what they are used to. However, younger people prefer to have magazines in their hands because they are more colorful and usually have more interesting topics for them. So it depends on the people themselves.
