Overall, men are more engaged in leisure activities such as TV, video, and radio, whereas women are more concentrated on cooking and washing.
The table informs the engagement of different sexes in leisure activities, in which majority of the people are using Tv, video and radio. That is 137 minutes by males and 118 minutes by females. Next one is the reading, here the time spend on reading books by males are 18 minutes and the females are 19 minutes. When compared to time spend on Tv and other entertainment devices, reading had a less interest on people. Time spend on sports are very less compared to the time spent on entertainment devices and reading. Men spend 15 minutes daily, whereas women spend 11 minutes.
The bar graph illustrates the time spent on household activities by the people in Britain. Women are more associated with household activities rather than men except for repair activities. Men spent almost 19 minutes a day for this and women engaged for 10 minutes only. Washing clothes and ironing are done by females for 30 minutes a day, in which males spend almost 12 minutes. Another interesting one is shopping. Men spend 25 minutes and women spend 35 minutes a day. From the information on cooking and washing, it is clear that these are the fields of women than men. Women engaged in 75 minutes a day and men spent 30 minutes only.
