I am writing to apply for a waiter position advertised in my local newspaper.

I am drawn to applying for this position is because the activity I am currently doing has something to do with waiters as well. I work as a waiter in a traditional restaurant near my home. On top of that, I deal with a wide range of people with different languages, which enables me to communicate not only with my mother tongue, but also a foreign language.

I find that this position matches my skills. Plus, with 2 years of experience working at the same position, I believe that this will not take too long for me to adapt the work environment.

I would be available for an interview in the morning at 7:00 a.m. on the weekend. However, I would welcome to discuss about this at your convenience.
