Each one in a family will prefer to watch their favourite content rather than one. some contents are restricted for kids, that can be watched by adults in their preferred medium. They can view their content through phone, tablets and laptop etc.
TV is considered to be single utility device which helps to watch videos. Whereas other device like phone, tablets and laptop can be used for other activities as well. This single utility device cannot sustain in a longer run. For example, wrist watches are famous in earlier days. Now it is replaced by smart watches, which serves as a fitness tracker rather than showing time. Most people don’t even use watches nowadays, they have their own phones. The smart phones will be a major replacement for TV. Earlier smart phone size are restricted to 6 inches, now foldable devices came into picture which allows to watch our content in large size of 12 inches. This foldable phone are portable than using a tablet. If they want to watch in large screen, they can watch in a theatre.
The portability, performs and multiple activity plays a vital role in devices, thus TV doesn’t come under both these category. I agree with the statement that TV will no longer be a primary household gadget in the future.
