The bar graph illustrates the number of days lost due to injury per worker for Germany, America, China, Korea, Brazil. There are three time periods shown from the year 1991 and 2005.
Overall it can be seen that China had the lead in every years compared to other countries, at 6 days in 1991 to 1995. And continue the lead at 9 days between 1996 and 2000, and finally at the years 2001 and 2005 with 10 days. Whereas Germany had the least number of days except for years 1991 and 1995.
Looking first at the figures for Germany and America, both countries recorded relatively low and stable levels of lost worksdays. In Germany, the number remained almost unchanged at around 3 days across all three periods, while America saw only a slight increase from about 3 days in 1991 and 1995 to roughly 4 days by 2001 and 2005.
By contrast, China, Korea and Brazil all showed higher figures and clear increases over time. China rose sharply from about 7 to 10 days, while Korea climbed steadily from around 4 to 6 days. Brazil also increased, reaching roughly 8 days in the final period.
