Overall, it is immediately apparent that the value of clothing rose gradually, and the European Union was the largest export destination in 2012.
In terms of the value of clothing exports rose gradually, from about US $ 5 billion in 1998 to around US $ 10 billion in 2004 before climbing sharply to US $ 25 billion in the last three years shown.
The figure for European Union, on the other hand , was the largest, accounted for 60% Bangladesh’s clothing exports, representing US $ 11.38 billion. The proportion of USA made up 25%, with US $ 4.53 billion , followed by unspecified countries with 8% of clothing exports, and amounted to US $ 0.87 billion , and Canada with 5% of export, and totaled at US $ 0.87 billion .
Lastly, the figure for Turkey and Japan accounted for the least recorded percentages, the former represents just 1% of export and stood at US $ 0.4 billion and the latter shows 2 %of clothing exports and it accounted to US $ 0.4 billion.
