The table illustrates the percentage of japanese adults who were never married over five decades and the line graph depicts the number of japanese marriage and divorce rate from 1970 to 2016.
Overall,the proportion of japanese citizens who were never married were very low in the initial year while it increased gradually over the period.Similarly,the number of marriages rate were decline while divorces rate were gradually inclined throughout the period.
Turning to the table,in 1970,the proportion of people who were never married was only 2% followed by exactly double that is 4% in 1980 and again it inclined by 3% in 1990.The rate of japanese adults who were never married in 2000 was increased to 12% followed by 15% in 2010.
Regarding to the graph,nearly 1000 japanese individuals married in 1970 while it was declined by around 200 in 1980 and it remained realtively stable upto 2000.The figure gradually fell by 200 from 2000 to 2016.However divorced rate was slightly increased starting from approximately 100 in initial year and reached to around 200 in the final year.
