The pair of pie charts compares housing owned and rented in the UK in 1991 and 2007. Both charts showed four different residential ways, including house oweners, social renting, private renting and social housing.
The resident ownning his house, which tagged as house oweners, was the major method of housing in 1991 as well as 2007. The percentage of ‘house oweners’ was increased from 60% observed in 1991 to 70% in 2007. A 10-percent percentage of having a personal house graduately growing up demonstrated in the 16 years peroids.
On the other hand, social renting and social housing were slightly decreased. The social renting rates were 23% in 1991 and 17% in 2007, which showed a 5% fall. Simillary, social housing rate were 4% fall between the two survey periods. Surprisingly, private renting rate holded in stable 11%.
Overall, these two pie charts illustrated that the residents owned their houses more in 2007 than in 1991, renting houses in a private way was maintained, and used other methods to get a house were declined.
