The maps illustrate the structural changes in the layout of a museum over a 10-year period between 1998 and 2008.
Overall, it is clear that the museum underwent modernization and social areas increased significantly. For instance, visitor facilities were built, and exhibition rooms were rearranged.
In the top-left corner, the permanent exhibition room was replaced by a restaurant. In the central area, there was a huge garden, and a cafe was located to the north of it. Ten years later, the cafe remained unchanged, but fountains were added to the garden and a small cafe sitting area was built on the left side of the garden. In the southwestern corner, the Temporary Exhibition Room was moved slightly up to the left side of the central area, and the shop and bags and coats were relocated from the bottom-right to the bottom-left.
Additionally, a new WC was constructed immediately to the right of the cafe in 2008. Regarding the Permanent Exhibition Rooms, which were scattered in the upper-left, upper-right, and right-center in 1998, significant changes occurred. The space in the upper-left was converted into a restaurant. Consequently, the remaining permanent exhibition spaces on the right were rearranged into three large blocks. These blocks expanded to cover the entire eastern wall, occupying the space where the restroom and ‘bags and coats’ area had been located in 1998.
