Dear Mr. Johnson,

I hope you are doing well. I am writing this letter regarding a possible job opportunity you mentioned to me at one of your Popeye’s restaurants, and I would be glad to talk more about this with you.

We met on the Air Canada flight from Toronto to Vancouver on 25 March, and I sat next to you in the business class. We talked at length about the upcoming hockey season, and you mentioned that your organization is the official sponsor of the league this year.

I am particularly interested in working in your company as it is one of Canada’s largest fast-food chains, and I would be glad if I could get an opportunity to interview for a Branch Manager position at one of your Vancouver restaurants.

I believe I have the necessary qualifications to excel in such a role as I have previous experience as a Branch Manager in a Tim Hortons Cafe in a busy suburb in Toronto where I worked for nearly three years. This challenging role has prepared me for a rewarding career in the food and services industry. I await your response and the opportunity for an interview. Thank you again for your time.
