The line graph illustrates the deterioration of dental health by acidic pH determined by duration after received many kinds of sweet edibles. (High pH number indicates low quantity of acid)
Overall, different types of sweet foods including, fruit sugar, cane sugar and honey has the same starting pH which is 7. After consumption all kinds of sweety foods, the pH shows the downward trend represents the rising of pH. The dental damage can be occurred when the pH is lower around 5.5. The acidic pH level stayed at the beginning point again about 40 minutes consumption later.
It has been seen that all sweet foods types displayed considerably fall of pH after consuming. They reflected the dip of pH at the fifth minutes of time elapsing. However, fruit sugar and cane sugar appeared to rise the pH after more than 5 minutes of time eating but the honey markedly stable until around 10 minutes begin to surge the pH level. After around 10 minutes of eating, the pH level of honey and fruit sugar markedly increased and reached to pH 7 again approximately 25 and 35 minutes respectively while the cane sugar gradually re-existed to pH 7 around 40 minutes.
