Dear Mr. Nikbakht,
I hope you are in good health, and having a great time in Yazd. Please say hello to your wife, sir.
I am writing this letter to inform you that there has been a change of plans, and I have decided to stay in Tehran for at least two additional years. Therefore, I will not be moving to Canada this summer. The reason for this decision is my mother’s illness. Unfortunately, she is not well at all, and she needs a kidney transplant.
Because of this issue, I would like to request an extension to our contract, and to rent the apartment for one additional year. I understand that in our original contract, we both agreed upon a six-month period for the rent. However, as I am facing a family crisis and my mother’s health issue, I prefer not to move and rent a new place.
In order to compensate for this last minute decision, I am willing to pay three months of rent in advance. Although, I fully understand if you have already signed a new contract for the apartment. Please kindly inform me if you have done so.
Lastly, if we do agree on an extended period for our contract, I would like to request a new set of cabinets for the kitchen, as they are all broken and loose. Thank you for considering my offer, and I hope to hear from you soon. Yours sincerely,
Aryan
