Dear Sir,

I hope this letter finds you in a well. I am writing to you regarding the extension of rental contract that originally was only six months. Now I wanted to extend the contract from six to twelve months.

I am doing a contract job in New York city. Last week, company extended my contract from six months to one year. That’s why I wanted to extend my stay. I do not want to change the apartment for couple of reason. Firstly, this apartment is only 15 mins away by walk from my office. In addition to that, I want to avoid the hustle of finding a new apartment then shifting all of my stuff there.

I also wanted to bring one thing in your attention is that there is a leakage in water pipe of bathroom. I believe you might need to fix by calling some plumber that since it will damage the wooden floor as well. I tried to fix that but I am not an expert. I wrote regarding the same problem earlier as well. Just wanted to give you a reminder again. I hope you consider my request for extension.
