Dear Mr Brown,

I am writing this letter requesting you to increase my lease of the apartment which was originally of 6 months.

Currently my last day of occupancy is 30th April but I would like to extend my stay for another 4 months making the move out date August 2024. I am ready to pay the application fee or any other amendment fees for re-signing the rent agreement. I am putting in my request a month prior so that you get time to think over it.

I would like to explain my reason for asking an extention. My original plan was to complete the last 4 courses in the summer but I got an opportunity to intern at a well-know MNC here in Chicago leding me to devote the summer time only for internship. Therefore, to finish my degree I will need to take these courses for another 4 months.

This is a great place to live with awesome views of the skyline. However, sometimes I face a problem with the water. The water is not available 24*7 as mentioned in the amenities. I asked a few neighbours but they are not facing the same issue so I am guessing there is a plumbing that needs to be take care of in the unit. I would really appreciate if you could get that fixed as well.
