The diagram presents the process of production of dairy products from scratch.
Overall, there are three major stages, beginning with cows producing milk, followed up by transportation to a dairy processing plant, and ending with the production and distribution of milk and various dairy products.
At the start of the stage, the cows are carefully grazed and milked twice a day by using milking machines. The milk is then kept in large refrigeration storage tanks to cool the milk which allows it to preserve its nutrients and freshness. To continue the dairy production process, the milk is transported everyday by milk tankers from the farm to dairy factories where they are separated into proportions for different purposes. The proportion intended to produce pure milk is pasteurised to kill unwanted microorganisms and maintain high quality. After undergoing this, it is packaged properly and manufactured to supermarkets and shops where customers are able to purchase them. However, the remaining proportion for making milk products such as cheese, cream and butter are needed to go through further process.
