The diagram provides information on the procedure involved in the production of milk & related goods.
Overall, it is evident that the diagram illustrates eight distinct steps; starting with feeding of cows and concluding with distribution. Each step is crucial and omission of any will halt the whole process.
To begin with, the lactating cows are allowed to graze on large pasture lands, this is carried out to produce high-quality milk. Then the process of milking is done twice a day either manually or mechanically with the help of a milking machine. Once the collection of milk is completed, it is stored at specific temperatures in huge refrigerators, primarily to maximize its shelf life. After storage, the milk is transferred daily to dairy centers by tankers or vans.
Following this, the milk undergoes a series of treatments to produce products like pasteurized milk, cheese, cream and butter. Pasteurization technique is utilized to kill harmful bacteria and other microorganisms. Furthermore, the dairy products are packaged and sealed. Finally, the products are distributed to different super markets, shops and convenience stores.
