The line graph below illustrates emissions of acid rain in the UK,measured in millions of tonnes, from four various sectors between 1990 and 2007.
Overall, it is clear that all four sectors had decreased. The biggest drop was in the electricity, gas and water supply sectors. And the lowest decrease was in the transport and communication sector.
Focusing on the highest shows, electricity, gas and water supply sectors dropped dramatically since 1990, it had reached 1300000 tonnes in 1997, stayed steadily for one year, and continued to drop steeply in 1998. Finally it reached 500000 tonnes in 2007 and became the second lowest indicator. Other industries had remained stable for the first two years, after that it started to decline gradually to reach 1400000 tonnes in 2001. This indicator stayed consistent for the next 6 years.
From the statistics it can be inferred that transport and communication fluctuated for 17 years, but in the final two years had slight decrease. Domestic emissions was the lowest measure in 1990 and maintained equilibrium in 2007. It was 600000 tones and became 250000 tones after modest dinimish.
