Dear Sir/Madam,
I was a passenger on the Air India Flight (Boeing 404) from Dubai(DXB) to London Heathrow(LHR) yesterday night which is on 7th June 2024. I accidentally left my cabin luggage on the flight because of an emergency. I am writing to inform you of this and to enquire about the steps I should take to get my bag back.
I was traveling to attend the graduation ceremony of my wife. She reached there two days back with my toddler. Soon after landing, I received a call from my wife informing me that my baby was sick and was admitted to the A & E. I rushed towards the exit immediately along with the handbag that I was holding. In a hurry, I completely forgot the cabin trolley bag which was placed on the overhead compartment. It was a medium-sized black trolley suitcase with the ‘American Tourister’ symbol on the top. Inside, it had a pair of formal suits and shoes each, a few of my personal care items, and a note-taking book. Fortunately, the passport and other necessary documents were in my handbag.
I contacted the customer service department soon after reaching the hotel and they advised me to send a letter to this address. I request you to kindly help me in getting my luggage back. I am ready to remit any extra charges for the carelessness on my side as the airline advised me to take all my belongings while leaving. I apologize for my mistake. Please let me know the necessary steps I should take for the same.
I hope to hear from you soon.
Yours faithfully,
Albert Thomas
