The given pie charts illustrate proportion of mothers taking care of children and still continuing working. Overall, percentage of mothers not working when youngest child is 0-2 years old is the highest. In contrast, it is the opposite when child is 10 years old.
On the one hand, it can be seen that not working proportion is the highest when the child is 0-4 years old (more than a half). While number of mothers working full-time remain stable (stay at 11 per cent), working part-time percentages increase up to almost one fifth.
On the other hand, when child are now 5-10 years old, not working percentage significant decrease to approximately a quarter. In additon, working part-time proportion increase sharply and decrease a bit. Noticably, working full-time percentage sharply rise to 29 per cent. As a result, it is clear that the higher age the child is, the higher chance the mother will be working because her child is mature enough.
