The given pie charts compares the preferences of the travelling methods to one university in 2004 and 2009.
Overall, it is evident that there were some changes in the university which influenced the preferred vehicle of travelling. In 2006, it was obligatory to pay car parking charges and additionally in 2008, the new bus stop was erected. While the most popular transport in 2004 used to be a car, in 2009 people preferred to use a bus.
Before the charges for car parking were implemented, 51% of people used car. However, after this implementation the number of people using car decreased to 28% in 2009. After the construction of new bus stop, the percentage of those who used bus had slightly increased from 33% in 2004 to 46% in 2009.
The percentage of people who used bicycle accounted in 2004 9%, but, by 2009, it had been risen to 16%. Compared to bicycle, the number of walking people experienced a slight increase, from 4% to 6%. In terms of train users, it can be said that the number of them remained almost the same.
