The given charts depicts the modification in ownership of eletric appliances and the amount of time spent doing household work in a counrty between 1920 and 2019.From the line graphs, it is evident that the populatrity of refrigerator and vaccum cleaners had increased drastically from 1920 to 2019 and the amount of time spent doing household chores had decreased significantly.
From the first graph, it can be noted that a 100% increase in ownership of refrigerator was seen between 1920 and 2019 and the ownership of vaccum cleaners increased by 70%.Furthermore,washing machine remained as popular as it was in 1920 with a growth of only 30%.
From the second graph, it is evident that the amount of time spent to do chores reduced from 50 hours to 20 hours per week in 1960. These numbers further dropped to 10 per week in 2019.
Conclusively,it can be summarised that with the increased ownership of electrical appliances such as refrigerator and vaccum cleaners the amount of time spent to do daily chores reduced 5 fold.
