This table is illustrating the percentage of adults in urban and rural areas for the years 1990 and 2010, who had participated in four different free time activities including: reading, animated play, playing and photography.
A comparison has been given in this table for both years and areas. In the year 1990, urban adults were seen to show more interest in reading which was also similar to the trend in rural area where reading was the most leisure time activity while photography was lowest in the ranking. This trend was also seen in the year 2010, where again reading weighed more while animated play was ranked lowest. Overall, reading was the favorite entertainment for the people throughout.
In terms of reading in urban area, there was a shift from 61% to 78% in both the years whereas a minimal icrease from 71% to 78% was shown in rural. A shift of interest had also been seen in photograpgy over the decade with the minimal interest to more involvement
