The graph illustrates monthly participation of men and women aged 18-20 in five distinct activities, in a particular city in 2015.
Overall , a higher percentage of males engaged in activities- football, basketball and hockey, while females were more active in swimming and cycling. Moreover football was the most popular activity among males, whereas cycling was the most common among females.
Focusing on the biggest difference first, the proportion of males who participated in football was significantly higher than that of females, accounting for 52% and 15%. Similarly, basketball and hockey were also dominated by males, with around 35% and 10% of males taking part respectively, while the figures for females were noticeably lower at just under 15% for basketball and approximately 5% for hockey.
In contrast, swimming attracted more females (around 35%) than males (around 20%). The highest participation among females observed in cycling, accounting for around 40% in females and slightly lower than that of females about 35%.
