The bar graph gives information on how much proportion of males and females aged 18-20 in a city took part in different activities in one month in 2015.
Overall, while the male participants showed higher figures in basketball, football and hockey, a reversal pattern was seen in the rest. Cycling and football were more popular than the others, with hockey being least interested.
Focusing on the bigger figures first, 40% of the females went cycling, whereas 36% of the males was interested in this activity. As for football, the male participants’ percentage was over 50%, being the biggest figure in this graph. The female participation was 15% in this activity.
The percentage of the males who partook in basketball was under three times as high as the female participants, 33% and 12% respectively. In terms of swimming, much more females (36%) did this activity than their male counterparts (20%). Being the smallest category in this bar chart, not as many females as males chose hockey, with the former accounting for under 5% and the latter making up over 10%.
