Dear Jokson,
I hope you’re doing well. It’s been a long time since we last spoke, and I really appreciated that you asked for my advice in your letter about whether to go to college or try to get a job. I will definitely help you with this.
As we are both childhood friends, I know that you have always dreamed of earning good wealth for a better future so that you can buy everything you want. Therefore, I would suggest that you get a job instead of going to college, because college life is all about learning theories, completing assignments, and having a totally hectic schedule. College won’t teach you any practical skills that will help you later on. Moreover, it can make you lazy, as the classes are completely theoretical.
Getting a job will be a good idea because you can learn lots of new things. It will enhance your confidence and experience, and help you make talented colleagues who will guide you. When you receive your first salary, you will feel proud of yourself, which will motivate you to work hard so that you can achieve your goals in life.
Since I know you are the kind of person who loves to play with numbers, I would suggest that you first try for a junior accountant job. As you already have a diploma in finance, it will increase your skills by learning new accounting techniques and also help you to do better in this field in the future.
Take care and stay in touch.
Yours lovingly,
John
