The most economic underground system is the one situated in Mexico, that with 12 lines, every year completes 1.6 billion annual journeys.
The most both economic and complex subway is actually the Beijing Subway. In fact, this subway, compared with New York City Subway, is second in number of lines, but it brings far more people than the New York one. Actually, after the Beijing Subway only the Tokyo Subway may have more than 3 billion annual journeys.
