Overall, it can be seen that the highest percentage of all countries expenditures on housing was in the United States, while the lowest percentage was health care in all four countries.
Expenditure on housing was noticeably higher in the United States than in the other three countries while Japan spent the smallest proportion on housing expenditure. A comparable pattern can be seen in food expenditure, with Japan allocated the highest percentage to this category, followed by the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States.
By contrast expenditure on housing and food, health care and clothing was noticeably lower in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Japan . On the other hand expenditure on transportation was remained comparatively low food and housing.
